REOND-MD

REOND-MD is a fast-acting antiemetic medication used to prevent and treat nausea and vomiting caused by stomach upset, viral infections, surgery (PONV), chemotherapy, and radiation therapy.

Each mouth-dissolving tablet contains 4mg of Ondansetron I.P., a potent serotonin 5-HT3 receptor antagonist.

'MD' stands for Mouth-Dissolving. These tablets are designed to disintegrate on the tongue within seconds without the need for water, which is ideal for patients who are feeling too nauseous to swallow pills.

It works by blocking the action of serotonin, a natural chemical that triggers the vomiting reflex in both the brain (chemoreceptor trigger zone) and the gastrointestinal tract.
