REROZE-DSR

Reroze-DSR is a combination medication used to treat Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease (GERD), peptic ulcers, and acidity. It is particularly effective for patients experiencing acid reflux accompanied by nausea, vomiting, fullness, or bloating.

It contains two active components: Rabeprazole, a Proton Pump Inhibitor (PPI) that reduces the amount of acid produced in the stomach, and Domperidone, a prokinetic that increases the movement of the stomach and intestines, allowing food to move more easily through the digestive system.

For maximum efficacy, Reroze-DSR should be taken on an empty stomach, ideally 30 to 60 minutes before your first meal (breakfast). This allows the medication to be absorbed and begin working before the stomach starts producing acid in response to food.

Yes. Because it contains Domperidone, Reroze-DSR helps speed up "gastric emptying." By preventing food from sitting in the stomach for too long, it significantly reduces the fermentation that leads to gas, bloating, and a heavy feeling after eating.

Most patients feel relief from heartburn and acidity within 1 to 2 hours. However, for full healing of the stomach lining or esophagus in cases of GERD, it may be necessary to take the medication consistently for several weeks as prescribed.

Reroze-DSR is generally well-tolerated. Some users may experience mild side effects such as headache, dizziness, dry mouth, or diarrhea. If you experience any irregular heartbeat or severe allergic reactions, contact your doctor immediately.

If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, you should only use Reroze-DSR if specifically recommended by your doctor. They will evaluate whether the benefits outweigh any potential risks to the baby.

It is highly recommended to avoid alcohol while taking Reroze-DSR. Alcohol increases stomach acid production and can irritate the stomach lining, which may worsen your symptoms and counteract the effects of the medicine.

While effective for chronic acid reflux, long-term use (more than a year) of PPIs like Rabeprazole should be monitored by a doctor, as it can occasionally lead to decreased absorption of minerals like magnesium and Vitamin B12.
